Drink. Eat. Write papers. Somewhat study. Hit on girls. Get turned down. That essentially sums up my college experience, but why share my pratfalls. Oh, right… because THE HEYDAZE are a band that formed in college about a year ago, and their college stories probably King Kong Bundy outweigh mine. But, good for them. This New York City pop-rock band out of the University of Pennsylvania are ready to break out like “before photo” Oxy commercial. Poised for stardom in 2015, and I’m not just saying that because they just did an A-Sides session with me, the band consisting of Jesse Fink (vocals, guitar), Andrew Wonderberg Underberg (producer, keyboardist), Andrew Spelman (lead guitar), and Alexander Glantz (drums), are approaching another NYC sellout show this Friday at the Gramercy Theatre in New York Citythis Friday after already selling out The Studio at Webster Hall last year.

Watch the band perform a trio of songs below (filmed by Joe Ades) at the Primary Wave MusicA-Sides Studio/Listening Room in Lower Manhattan. They also sat down for a chat. Standing up, I’d imagine, would be awkward. Anyway before I copy and paste the embed codes you should know a couple things about THE HEYDAZE: The band was formed by longtime pals Fink and Wonderberg and the latter’s U-Penn pal Spelman. After a viral hit song, the band was snatched by Paradigm and have since toured with Jesse McCartney andTIMEFLIES. OK, phew. Background over. Watch and enjoy this rising band. Boom.
